Jack joined WasteRecruit in 2019, moving from a Geography teaching role of 15 years. Having never trained or studied waste management, he understands first-hand that skills are transferable.
Jack is passionate about expanding the talent pool beyond the waste sector and bringing in people from outside industries. The waste sector needs skilled people, and outside of it are people with new ideas and perspectives, skills that can be adapted, and a willingness to learn and apply their knowledge in new ways. Jack is helping facilitate finding the skills needed to expand the waste sector, in the UK and abroad.
Away from work
Recreationally, Jack retains some of his competitive nature on the hockey pitch; he was previously a competitive swimmer. He works out of his garden office, with his dog Bellamy his office companion.
