Weighbridge Operator

We are currently seeking an experienced and highly organised Weighbridge Operator to join a busy operations team. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role at the heart of the clients site, ideal for someone with experience in waste management, logistics, or a similar operational environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Handling inbound customer calls, advising on rates and waste acceptance options
• Setting up waste contracts, ensuring correct waste types and full compliance with legal documentation
• Managing weighbridge operations, including booking vehicles in and out, processing tickets, and maintaining accurate records
• Producing daily transaction reports for reconciliation and audit purposes
• Working closely with the skip hire team to ensure internal movements are correctly captured and recorded
• Liaising with credit control to resolve invoice or account queries

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience in a weighbridge, waste, or logistics environment
• Understands the flow of vehicles and drivers on a busy site
• Has knowledge of compliance requirements within waste operations
• Demonstrates strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reporting
• Can work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday: 6:00 am – 5:00 pm
• Saturdays: Rota basis (approximately 2 per month, paid as overtime)
• 6:00 am – 1:00 pm
