Technical and Operations Manager
Sherbourne Resource Park is the £35M regional materials recycling facility (MRF) being developed in partnership between the councils of Coventry, Solihull, Walsall, North Warwickshire, Nuneaton & Bedworth, Rugby, and Stratford upon Avon (the Partner Councils).
The Partner Councils will be incorporating an SPV, AssetCo Ltd, which will be responsible for entering into the contract for the design and build of the MRF, and either operating, or procuring the operation, of the MRF.
To strengthen the project team, WasteRecruit have been retained to support the recruitment of the Technical and Operations Manager. This crucial position will support the project in two key areas:
- Provide expert advice during the procurement phase;
- Commission the completed MRF.
This key role requires you to have a high degree of technical and development knowledge of recycling to provide expert advice throughout the procurement and design phase. Your expertise will enable strategic decisions to be made during this phase to ensure the solution designed is the best-fit for the requirements of the project. As a result, it is more than likely that you will have experience in the design and build of a recycling facility.
Your operational expertise will allow you to have well informed opinions on what works and what doesn’t. It is highly likely that you’ll have operated a MRF, creating the safe systems of work and the operating processes including the PPM systems. You’ll have experience in team and financial management and be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of what great looks like.
To discuss how you can add value to this unique opportunity then please call our retained consultants at WasteRecruit on 01252 353 080. Interviews will be held on the 4th and 5th March 2020.
