Site Operations Supervisor
Our client offers a range of specialist waste management and recycling services to both the public and private sector. A vacancy currently exists for Site Operations Supervisor.
Reporting directly to the MBT Plant Manager, the role’s purpose is to optimise the operation of the Company’s flagship MBT plant within design parameters and permit/planning conditions.
You will also control the reception of incoming waste streams and outgoing products and ensure that shifts operate in a consistent way by overseeing the operational duties of all shift personnel.
You will also be required to liaise closely with site engineering and technical support at other Company locations and also external contractors and to deputise for the MBT Plant Manager in his absence.
The successful candidate will have managerial or significant supervisory experience and ideally have previously worked within an automated, process-based manufacturing environment.
Excellent communications skills are essential, both verbal and written as well as a high level of computer literacy.
Waste industry experience, a Certificate of Technical Competence (COTC) and knowledge of health and safety/environmental processes would be advantageous.
Normal hours are based on a 40-hour week, Monday to Friday. The successful candidate will be required to work 8.5-hour shifts within the hours of 06.00 and 22.00. Candidates will also be required to be available on alternate Saturday mornings.
