Principal Consultant – Circular Economy
Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Circular Economy specialist leader to join their consultancy team to work with public, private and third sector clients. You will have proven experience and excellent commercial focus on how to implement the principles of the circular economy. We are looking for a highly self-motivated, commercially minded and innovative individual who is an excellent communicator at all levels.
You will also be able to demonstrate a track record across a range of the following disciplines:
- Technical - processing & markets; packaging; carbon impacts
- Policy - impact of current and future policy
- Tools - modelling; data analysis & interpretation; market research
You will work closely with the Head of Circular Economy and the wider Executive team to contribute to the setting of the company’s strategic direction.
You will be a ‘sector expert’ who enjoys getting into the technical delivery of projects (e.g. critically reviewing technical proposals, policy impact assessments and innovative methods).
As a line manager you will support colleagues and play a key role as a mentor.
You will support the company in raising their profile and work across the circular economy space. Part of your role will involve managing bid and proposal submissions, ensuring that internal systems are adhered to and any issues mitigated at the earliest opportunity.
Managing and monitoring project delivery:
You will engage with colleagues on day-to-day operational delivery and performance in order to meet budget requirements and maximise the efficiency of the team.
You will be required to directly deliver on circular economy projects as well as provide oversight of technical delivery on circular economy projects, but you may also be involved with delivery across other areas, such as behaviour change and resources and waste. It is estimated that 50% of your time will be spent on paid delivery work. You will be an excellent project director.
You will identify and maintain relationships with existing clients and develop new ones by networking and raising the company’s profile (e.g. attending events, presenting, social media, etc).
