Environmental Consultant (waste permitting)
WasteRecruit are working with a successful independent consultancy to source an environmental permitting consultant.
You will be working with an established successful team preparing regulatory applications to support the development of major waste management facilities including treatment plants, EfW and landfills.
Your day to day responsibilities will include the preparation of environmental permits and providing support on planning applications. Depending on your skills, experience and interests there will also be opportunities to work on a wide range of related technical, scientific, environmental or engineering subjects, including EIA studies, risk assessments, technical design, civils contract management, site investigations and contaminated land assessment.
The work is multidisciplinary and we will consider candidates from a wide variety of geo-environmental backgrounds, but particular preference will be given to candidates with experience in hydrogeology.
Applicants should have a relevant first degree and preferably a higher degree along with a minimum of 2 years’ experience of waste regulation experience.
You will ideally be working towards Chartered status and/or membership of a relevant scientific or engineering professional institution.
