Environmental Technician Kent £16-17K
This leading consultancy manages an outsourced waste management contract for a Blue Chip client. We require an Environmental Technician to undertake the following duties: Handling and moving hazardous wastes around site utilising a forklift truck; labeling and recording wastes on a database; pumping liquid wastes; sampling effluent streams, recording performance readings, performing basic tests and monitoring the operation of plant and equipment. Ideally you will have a scientific background and should have a basic understanding of chemistry. Any experience in handling chemicals is going to be beneficial as is prior experience in either the chemicals industry or a hazardous waste management company.
